Project Launch

Project launch meeting was held on 23^rd January,2013 at CIMMYT- Hyderabad, at ICRISAT (International crops Research Institute of Semi-Arid Tropics) India during 23^rd to 25^th January’2013. Dr. Larry Beach from USAID presided over the meeting and explained the role of HTMA in achieving the “Feed-The-Future” initiative goals in South Asia. A total of 44 scientists participated in meeting to discuss various aspects of the project, including the genomic selection (GS) approach for genetic enhancement for heat stress tolerance.CIMMYT’s Jose Crossa, Paulino Perez, and Raman Babu discussed the GS concept, its application in breeding programs, and data analysis and management for fast-track breeding progress and product development (Read More … )
